Wow, just took it off the stands and its definitely going to scrape over bumps on the front lol. Also, imagine your sat in the drivers seat looking at the front wheels, they're at 10 to 2 ha. Both facing outwards by a long way due to the mk2 hubs. Might not even make it to the garage i use to track it up at this rate. Got plenty done today though, pleased. Picture updates tomorrow.

Whos to say theres enough thread n the track rod ends, go too far and it'll be plain dangerous. fucked up ackerman y0000

thats the exact same fluid il be getting let me know how you get on with it mate

and for the steering you could look into using mk2 golf arms on your steering rack just an idea

I'm going to be putting a full mk2 golf steering rack and column in mine to match the mk2 front track width il be running seems easier for me to do this

Brake fluids arrived. Just gone to change the master cylinder and the nipple ends are a different size on the gti. Going to get some braided hoses made up for it, it will look pretty under the bonnet as well ha. What part of the master cylinder is it that measures 22mm so i can check that its actually bigger that the one fitted?

Loving the progress mate,

That rear brake flexy looks on a bit of a shit angle though?

  • Author

It is on a shit angle haha, i must have had 30 6n's in my time and i never realized that they have another flexi in between the rear one that goes to the caliper and the steel brake pipe that runs all the way to the front of the car. I'm going to my local hydraulic company before i add the fluid and I'm going to get quite a few braided hoses made up. It's the steel one in the pic that's the problem, its too long as it used to run a bit further along to the drums, but i thought i may as well get a braided hose made up which not only replaces the steel pipe, but that will incorporate the mystery flexi that I've never noticed before lol. Definitely agree on that one, shit angle all round ha.

You going to spring fest?

Edited by polovr6man

Cool man, :)

How rigid are the seats when mounted like that?

Will be going spring fest aye
