Cool man, :)

How rigid are the seats when mounted like that?

Will be going spring fest aye

Sweet, as long as I've got it finished in time ill be there.

Their solid mate, its just a polo runner working as normal with the plastic seat base (which is metal and then bolts to the seat) welded to it.

You dont have to run the spacer, i just cut down the actual m/c. Saves putting the spacer in.

£33.50! jeeeeeez

You going to the rr day?

A little update but no pictures ha.

Got my all red German drivers rear fitted yesterday. Looks so much better with out the white reverse bit.

I will have my passenger seat back with me saturday and fitted so that's the interior sorted.

My fibreglass tailgate is still at the paint shop, he's ended up cutting the window out of it for me to make things easier on his part so i need to bond a perspex one in when i get it back. He said its been a nightmare so can't judge when ill have it with me.

23.4mm master cylinder hasn't arrived yet but as soon as it does i will get some braided hoses made up to run from itself to the 2 t- pieces that feed the brakes.

I then need to get some rear braided hoses made up that will go from the caliper hose to the steel pipes that run the length of the car. Hopefully then i can add the silicone fluid and get a brake pedal back.

And obviously still waiting on Adaptorman to sort my mani out lol. HURRY UP AND GET BETTER HA

Right, got the master cylinder through yesterday so went to my local hydraulics shop and got some braided hoses made up to run from itself to the 2 t-pieces so it looks pretty under the bonnet, £60 I Couldn't believe it!!! I fitted it along with the 2 pipes and swapped the seals over from the polo one. Just need to knock the pin out now and fit it to so that i can add the reservoir. Also got my passenger seat welded up so i can fit that tomorrow.

Just ordered some Titanium heat wrap as when i was fitting the new brake lines i realised that one of my silicone hoses was starting to melt, best to eliminate the problem early doors lol. I'm also in need of a cupra brake fluid reservoir to fit the stubby master cylinder. Anybody know which MK cupra to get one off?

Do you think that's good or expensive for the braided hoses mate I'm just wondering as il need to get mine sorted soon

  • Author

Expensive ha. If i was you i'd buy a length of braided pipe off ebay and a load of ends + the flaring tool and make them all up your self. I've spent £160 on them up to yet and need 2 more making which will be about another £60. For all the stuff including tool its about £130 and you can run them the full length of the car.

You got a link to the tool and length of pipe for me mate please

That's the exact stuff I was looking at using just didnt see the tool they sold but tbh I could make one myself for less than a fiver lol

  • Author

Haha, id run them inside the car it was me as well so you can see it.

il be running the brakelines inside anyway mate i did before with copper pipe and i do with my SS braided fuel lines

thats why I've got all rally spec stuff

Hello Kerb LOL. Thought i was on tokyo drift tonight going round the corner where all the next generation hang out drinking cans, had my mate behind me in his silver G reg mx5 and smashed both drivers wheels straight into the kerb. Snapped my seat with the impact but not took a bearing or anything, drove away and carried on skidding ha. That's what you get for showing off. Must have looked good though 2 identical cars coming round corner balls out................Until i hit the kerb
