I think you should twin turbo it tbh especially as its a Vee engine

And you obviously get extra Ballin points

They wouldn't fit mate ha. I know they do in a mk3 golf but the bay on a 6n is tiny ha.

Just got some new AP coilovers, not the greatest but the best for what i had to spend. Also got some new rear calipers as handbrake lever was a bit worse for wear on old ones.

Fit perspex in tailgate

Get it tracked up

Tax and Test It

Get It Re-mapped

Get an alloy brake fluid reservoir cap made (stinkypete)

Buy fire extinguisher

Get some water lines made up for turbo

Just been and bought one of these from local shop

Just got to wait until tiger seal is dry now and i can go all the way around the aperture with a stanley knife and peal the protective film off so there's a neat edge.

Where you getting your cage from?/ Made?

I think I'm going with a Wiechers Type B cage its justa rear 4 point. Not bothered about a full cage its worked out around £470 for mine.

Full cages & road cars & insurance are a bit awkward.

Haha i know mate, they weigh a ton don't they. I only put that about it been a 1.4 as I've now got the engineers report to change it to a 2.8 on log book. Dreading the insurance quote. I'm on a traders though so I'm guessing that as long as I've declared it as a 2.8 i won't have to declare any mods as they only ask for reg whenever i phone up to add a car, They never ask anything else about them. In fact i can log in to my insurance site online and just type the reg in and its added.

I got my price through talking to Roy at CA Technologies. There the british importers of the Wiechers cages as they are made in germany, been really helpful and helped me decide on what exactly i need from the cage. So I've got little extra bits here and there to make it perfect for what i want. Didn't fancy a full cage in as the weight and insurance aspect of it. Insurers really dont like anything more than a show cage but with my harnesses going on it i wasnt stupid enough to go for a show one. Mines also FIA approved which helps with insurance (Y)
