looking for a mk1 golf gti...

Featured Replies

i know this may be a long shot (and possibly in the wrong section)

but i have a friend at work who is 47 now, but back when he was 19/20 he had a beast of a mk1 golf gti, he and the car were quite well known at the time

we did the dvla reg check numerous times over the past year or so and it always came back as sorn, so still alive but possibly a project?

today we checked it and it has now been taxed since the 1st of august and the colour has been changed from black to blue!

so it would seem that it is now back on the road?

now i did say it would be a long shot but what are the chances of anybody knowing of it or somebody who owns it?

the reg is NJM 792X

it would be amazing to find it again so he can check it out!

It didn't work, boy. ;)

Not totally relevant but I Googled the numberplate and found a picture of two nice looking Chevrolet Corvairs .

Would be best trying edition38.com or a mk1 golf owners club to find the owner.
