Ooookay so, Long story short, I had a g40 converted bready not long ago;

but sold it in april (big mistake) Ever since then when i've seen my mate driving it i've thought WHY did i do that. So, I went and picked this up last week;

When I got home;

Went down to banbury for it, (3 & 3/4 hour train ride) Got there, friendly bloke, had a few ferraris & rolls' being worked on lying about..as you do..

Anyhu, about 100 miles on the way in stopped at the services and noticed it was leaking fuel...a fair amount...so managed to get the next 98 miles home ok. But surprise surprise leaky rusty crappy fuel filler neck. So there went the £40 of fuel i'd put in flowing onto my lawn overnight.

Did the usual, clear indicators, chromed bulbs, smoked sidelights etc.

Took the horrible plastic number plate backing off to show lovely fresh paintwork! & tinted indicators, looks better imo.

Stripped the drums/ calipers/ shocks etc down to metal then painted them with high temp & chip resistant like so;

Bit of primer and black top coat to stop the rust from the grille slots for now;

Fuel tank being an absolute ARSE to get off, got wedged on the suspension arm...

On the plus side it's immaculate underneath (shells only done around 85k)

Errr....slight hole?

& that's about where i am atm, new tank should be here tomorrow woop. Needs a new clutch though...and it's running funny :( And leaking abit of oil, but as i like to say; Be reeet. Something to keep me busy in the shed for a few evenings after work.
