where did you get the wheel boss from?

the steering wheel boss is from merlin motorsport BUT this is for the 6x100mm traditional mountney wheels, and it also involved removing the large spline adapter so that the car was small spline as you cant get traditional large spline bosses, as i found out, pm me if you want more help :-)

U got any other pic with the wheels on

yeah look on the previous page 8-)

also i've given them a propper polish now, well a fairly quick one but with the right stuff this time, meguiars metal polysh (yes its spelt like that :retard: ) instead of autosol

and if you google search "audi arrow grey" my car comes up twice

Love the colour. Bit of a strange one isnt it. Looks silver in some of the pics.

thanks man 8-)

the majority of the time it is a grey/silver colour with a blue tinge (it has pearl in it) and when its darker its just grey, i did originally want just primer grey but then i saw this on a tt and thought primer looks a bit boring, but this colour is more interesting

it wasn't cheap though because of the pearl

update time! i'll start with the good i think

got my new tyres fitted yesterday morning so now it looks like this with 10mm spacers on the front and 15mm on the back:

IMAG0335.jpg

IMAG0338.jpg

they are 165/55/13 nankang supercheaps but they are a good comprimise of looks, price and handling

got my new vw gearknob fitted:

IMAG0332.jpg

both of these good points have made vast improvements, but now the bad

well this isn't that bad as such but:

IMAG0331.jpg

its hit over 130k now :lol:

and this:

IMAG0333.jpg

doesn't look much from the picture but its a dent/scratch which I'm really annoyed about as this is the first mark since its had its respray and it was my neighbor who did it as there is an nice spot of red paint on mine and a spot of grey on the edge of her door, she let me find out about it myself.... :x i feel like accidentally dropping a brick onto her windscreen

and even though my wheels are perfectly balanced now with good spacers and tyres i still get bad wheel wobble between 50 and 60 mph, i'm going to have to swap wheels around to see if that helps if not it must be the spacers/bolts not keeping the wheels absolutely central

and also whilst putting leds into my dash gauges the power feed to the bulbs has gone! it seems something in the circuit itself has blown and now i need to buy another set of gt/g40 clocks! the fuel gauge/temperature guage was a bit tempramental anyway but now driving home from work i won't be able to see my speed or anything! anyone got any? i need them asap!

one step forward, 3 steps back! :crybaby:

Still cant get over the colour. Loose the peado bear though man. It looks real odd in the center.

cheers max 8-)

i received my g40 clocks at the weekend courtesy of VWbreadvan so now the fuel gauge is more stable and i have lighting! i also fitted two white leds for the lighting and removed the green filter so its much nicer looking light

also at the moment i still have the original cl milage clock in for obvious reasons but since the 160mph clocks i bought are on roughly 131k and I'm on 130.2k at the mo when i hit that milage i'll swap them over for the 160mph ones :) even though I've only got 4 gears

IMAG0349.jpg

IMAG0350.jpg

thats just from one weeks driving

and also I've found out that my ecu needs changing as at the moment the driver for two of the injectors gets hot or something after a while and ceases to work so it runs on two cylinders for a moment or two :? I'm working on finding a replacement!

NOICE! the fact you can get the bumper on the kerb needs adressing though :p I'm sure its in hand ;)

Indeed, next year I will lower it another 20mm, so 90mm, but driving home today the exhaust brace thingy was scooping the 2 or 3" layer of snow and slush in the middle of the road and the heat shielding is coming off  I'm glad I haven't lowered it more xD

Also my lamin-x has arrived :paranoid:
