why thank you b-shaw! and indeed it does, gonna start on the suspension/engine side of things soon me thinks! mechanically its pretty much as i bought it

Looks cool bud!

thanks! :-D

well today i gave it a good wash, hoover, tyre dressing, plastic renovating and changed a sticker on the back (new wheels and a bit of sun seemed to give me a bit of motivation!), i then took it for a mini shoot with my mate joe with his white gt

took the two free stickers (oil can graphics and syco graphix) off and put this newly relevant one on:

Couple of inch lower and you'll have that cracked 8-)

you talking about the exhaust? its a daily I've made look half decent, its no show car so I'm at most going to lower it another 20mm, I'm thinking -10mm top caps with camber adjustment and mk1 golf rear coilies and if i want at a later date 80mm front springs (to make it 90mm) or front coils

little vid of how it sounds, not really bothered that it doesnt move very quick at the moment, gt cam and box (maybe with an 8p fifth too) may be added in the future though ;)

th_VID_20120325_182204.jpg

Fair enough its a daily, and it does look mighty clean. But i just can't help think it needs to be another 20mm lower,

So hopefully you'll get it done 8-)

cheers max, and yeah i do know it needs lowering to look a bit better and i most likely will but its hardly a land rover!

i tried to drive to work in the snow today with my wide summer wheels on, this height and no front arch liners (taken off when arches were rolled) and failed as there were trucks in the way and turning around as it was worse up ahead etc... so i had a day off wether its paid or not i dont know yet

but when i got home i spent 10 mins getting the snow that had built up in the arches and bumper out, not fun! and whilst driving the snow that builds up in the middle of the road (due to the tire tracks either side of it) was hitting the underside of the car and every so often i had to free the gear selector up as snow was building up around it! its impractical enough already without more lowering  at the moment i may be able to take passengers again as i could before with the revos and no arch rolling, but if i lower it again id need stiff suspension and i need camber adjustment too for the fronts which sounds like coilover territory :S dont know if i should lower it more tbh!

I've actually had the tint since december when i bought the front tint at the same time but i wasnt sure if it would look good but i think it works, opinions?

Loving the look of this mate. Looks pretty spot on to me :D just a quick question.. do you still have the Revo's? And if you do, would you consider selling? :D

  • Author

Cheers! Nah I sold them to someone on here a few weeks ago and he's since sold them to someone else I think

This makes me want a respray like mad.

like this car, if it had some kamei side skirts itd finish it right off. shame there rare as though!

The paint is mega clean but I'm just not feeling the wheels for some reason, can't help thinking some full arch trims would just make the wheels look more fitting.

Rear lights look good tinted that laminex stuff is ace

Looks good chap. Thought the rear lights worked better without the tint on but each to their own and all that ;)

cheers :-D i do want something to finish the sills off and i do want those skirts so bad but you cant buy them anywhere, i was so jelly when Leggy (red mk2 16v) bought some powertechs and those skirts, so much want! :-( but yeah anyway i need to start doing mechanical things like the engine, gearbox, more lowering, exhaust, etc.. as its all pretty much standard and not how i want it so aesthetics is taking a back seat after i've renewed my insurance in june ;)

i reckon once its lower it will look better and i wouldnt mind some coupe s trims, also there isnt enough gloss black on the car to match them but i've thinking about getting some areas./things wrapped in the future 8-) yeah its pretty good stuff but because of the lettering on the lights there are slight bubbles but they should go over time

thanks 8-) yeah i want sure myself it took me 4 months to finally put it on after buying it  its only a slight tint though to make the red a little darker and the grey bits a bit closer to black
