Mk3 Polo - J Reg Hatch (Breadvan) 1.3 SPi AAV

Featured Replies

Hey all

Selling my Polo.

Its been Cat B'd so the shell has to be scrapped - rear end damage (rear panel and boot floor) and the tailgate is crushed. Bumper may be salvageable. Car got hit square from behind so even the lights are fine.

Removeable panels and bonnet are fine apart from RH wing had some surface rust which i rubbed back and treated, but never took off to check underneath. wing is still sanded back but has top coat on (e.g. looks rough).

some spots of rust on lower door, around rear wings and also a spot on A pillar which is somewhat irrelevant now!

The whole car is available, or i will part it out dependent on what people are after.

Its a 1992 J-Reg in Montana Green, AAV engine, ~114,000 miles. Just had new plugs, coil, waterpump, cambelt, breather hose, oil...starts first time and runs fine. Had some running problems but these had all been fixed before i got smacked :x

Exhaust has new centre section and rear section seems ok, but is blowing quite badly since the bump from the downpipe/cat join (was blowing a bit before)

Recent new front discs/pads.

Recent front tyres and rears have a fair bit of life left.

Only issues apart from the accident damage I can think of are a knocking top mount (new ones available) and broken interior boot trim (i was half way through making a new one!)

Will get some pictures but wont help too much as the shell itself is dead.

Car would go as is initially, but if it doesn't go initially i will break it and scrap the shell - no time over next few weeks to do this so if someone wants it as a parts car then say so.

Price as is - £200 or offers

It starts, stops, and drives fine and has MOT. Just crushed rear end so the insurer have Cat B'd it, presumably for structural reasons and because the boot floor has moved. No tax.

I have other parts - Shock and Spring kit etc and these are advertised in the relevant sections on here.

Based in Petersfield

Thanks!

Radiator has been fine but will check if the car gets dissassembled - hence no costs at the mo

Delivery costs i'll work out once i can get bits out and weigh them :-)

Cheers

Tim

Still got the throttle body buddy?

(It is a 1.3 SPI isnt it?)

Cheers Chris

Throttle body is available. 1.3SPi - £40 delivered?

Radiator can come out if required - not leaky as far as I know. Will do it tomorrow night (didnt have chance the last week). Gonna be a few quid to deliver but ~£30 posted i guess?

Otherwise, all gonna go on ebay over next few days as have no idea how to price parts.

If anyone wants anything specifically PM me.

Car is being stripped down but needs to be moveable so anything underneath isn't really available as its too much hassle for me to get it out...but if you want to come and get anything or need the engine out (i havnt got a crane or any means to do it myself) PM me.

The rolling shell and engine will be scrapped over the next week or so

£30 posted is fine by me, as long as it doesn't leak!! PM your paypal email and i'll send the money

Haven't had chance to sort it yet - will PM you when i've got it out and checked it

How much for the whole engine, including all ancillaries, ecu, loom everything to have it running?

And would you bung it on a pallet for postage?
