Its actually really good condition for its age, the surroundings make it look worse haha :-p

The first thing i want to do is get it lowered! any ideas for how low? i was thinking 60/40 but i dunno if that will be low enough, so I'm leaning towards 70/70? also just wondering, is the 40 in 60/40 at the back? or the front?

thanks, will keep it updated!

Another red Ranger! My car has a twin! (Almost, I don't have a sun roof :( )

60/40 means:

down 60mm at front.

down 40mm at rear.

it's the same for all lowering amounts.

Okay thanks guys :) Ah you have a ranger too! Is your one lowered? i still dunno how much to go, theres pretty cheap springs on ebay, 60/40 might be too high, so I'm thinking 70/70 but I'm so stuck! I'll look out for you at some meets :)

I do indeed have a Ranger. Is yours Tornado Red? (LY3D). No, mine isn't lowered yet; I don't have a job so I can't afford the parts and extra insurance cost. Where abouts are you from?

Here are some pictures from the site sponsors section with lowered Mk2's:

Loads of cars lowered at different heights one various wheel sizes here.

Welcome mate!

Nice to see another breadvan! 8-)

60/60 is a good place to start when lowering a car, if you want comfort id say 60/40. If you buy adjustable rears you can always adjust the height to 70 or 80. if you want to go slightly lower than 60 on the front you can buy lowering top caps that add another 10mm.

If you want I have some 70/70 springs you can have free on the condition you collect them as I won't go through the hassle of posting them. If you're local that is.

looks nice man :) I'm down 80/ 60 on my bready on standard wheels and its still perfectly usable :D

Sweet, it'll clear a space in my shed. I'll try and find a pic of my car when it was rolling on them.

going to go over it quickly again tomorrow and wash it then polish/wax it

Get some black trim wax on all the black trim on the exterior of the car, it will tidy it up a lot.

I had a steel sunroof, you jealous :p

Yeah i got a bit of back to black on there last night, but forgot to take a picture, i'll get a better one today, and might have to go to halfords to get some trim wax, it sounds better than back to black! how much is it do you know?

Right so i finished t-cutting it, looks a different car! 8-) I dunno what red it is though? i was thinking maybe mars?

Also bumper waxed it and all the plastics/window surrounds, cleaned the interior and am going to hoover it soon, so interior pics will be up!

I got some stuff from Wilko's, it takes a while because you have to rub it in with a cloth but it works well. Here is a picture of mine before and after rubbing the stuff in

I dunno what red it is though?

Check the boot for a sticker, the paint code will be on that, if the sticker is there that is. It looks very similar to mine so I would say Tornado red.

also, could anyone suggest a colour for the steelies? I'm going to clean them up and I'm thinking going black or white?

Go black or silver, white looks far too peugeot

x2 I don't think white would look right on these wheels.
