40mm drop on 6n2 GTi

Featured Replies

Not looking to have the lowest polo, just want to match performance with practicality. Probs going to go for a weitec suspension kit.

Has any one got any pics of a GTi dropped this much on its origional 15" BBS RXii rims with 195/45 tyres?

Cheers.

60mm would be better mate. Looks good handles well also no too low.

Pete.

its better to replace shocks when using springs. eventually the standard shocks will be kaput!(worn out quicker due to the )

yeah it probably would look better but i cant find a kit that does a 60mm drop all round. What would 60/40 look like? idealy i should get a weitec kit as i get great deals on them through work.

60/40 would look ok but if you buy PhilJs spring and shock kits the rears are adjustable. For example 60/40 would go 60/60 and 80/60 would go 80/80, there are 7 adjustment settings on most kits.

Coilovers are your best bet mate, i was the same as you, i had springs with standard shocks and it was horrid, really bouncy and didnt even look low, i now have TA technix coilovers and the ride is so much better and mine is at about 100mm drop, so go for them and just have them at about 80mm or something! :)
