Swedish 6N

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

Got myself a -99 1.6 6N last thursday and joined up immediately. Needed to get myself a cheap car as I'm starting Uni in a week. Just thought I'd share a few pics of it in it's current state. Have a few ideas of what to do with it, the primary things being coilovers, wide 14/15"s and getting rid of the hideous indicators.

Cheers mate!

It's indeed very clean. Bought it just because I knew who the owner was and how he's like. This was his winter car. Seeing as we salt the roads here in Sweden during the winter (not sure if you do that in the UK) rust is a menace and this has been spared from most of it. Just a few tiny blemishes on the rear arches but they've been touched up. He has a mint MK1 Golf that his grandfather bought new in 1977 aswell: http://www.garaget.org/?car=3913

yea, we do it here as well but probably not as much as u guys do in Sweden. Just had a wee look at the Golf and am kinda speechless lol looks quite sexual, stance is amazin like :o :o :o

good luck with the car man!

Hopefully you don't get terrorized by salt trucks 24/7 like we do in winter but yeah it's a hazzle! Indeed a fine example even though I personally think 16's is a tad too big on a MK1!

Cheers and the same to you!

That golf is amazing!!!!!!!! How well does your air intake work? Where did you ger the curved piece of tubing from? Is it 45degrees or 90degrees? Wish my dragon green 5 door looked this clean!!!

Cheers, yours will be with a little love mate!

His golf is indeed amazing!

I'm not sure where he got the pipe but I'll ask him. As for function I'm not sure, it sounds a little meaner but that's about it. Not much to do with a 75bhp 1.6 8v ^^

Due to this thread I have started cleaning my car up. Ordered two new wings. The intake system looks like its factory made. I am going to steal the idea. I hope you dont mind.

Lovely mate, that's the right stuff! The car looks like crap now tho cause it's been raining on and off for a few days and I haven't had the time to clean it. Hopefully tomorrow it'll be weather and I can put some new pics up!

"Steal" all you want, just fun to inspire someone!

Be sure to post pics :)

Do post more pictures. This is my favourite dragon green on here I think now. I go on holiday on Monday for two weeks and in that time a lot of new parts should arrive so I will post pictures when they are installed

Starting to get the modifying itch really bad now. Have to wait until spring for new wheels and a set of coils but almost considering ordering the stuff now. Can't decide what wheels to go for. Have to be cheap as shit replicas as I'm studying and have to be able to live aswell!

Has anyone got tips or ideas (links please) for a nice set of wide 15". Cheap is preferable!
