Surely if you're shit at driving, you're shit at driving, no matter where in the world you are? If there's a particularly bad junction / roundabout, then just dealing with it appropriately will not be a problem?

I passed in Durham, simple road layouts, minimal traffic. Easy.

Few of my mates all failed in Gateshead, since there is more complicated roundabouts, and added pressure from.traffic.

Trust Bradford to be one of the highest failure rates! Then again when you see some of the people that are on the road you really wonder how they got their license!

You think people in bradford have licenses?

My instructor told me that poorer areas have a lower pass rate than richer areas, apparently wealthy people take more driving lessons than poor people.

Hahaha not at all, in fact a few of us are thinking of setting up a vigalante service to check all cars in the area for insurance and appropriately remove them if not, hell, they cant call the cops or claim on them!

And really, people in richer areas do better and can afford more lessons.....i wonder why that is..... :retard:

Possibly because they have more money? :retard:

Who would have ever have guessed that! The things you learn on a daily basis!

I would never of come to that conclusion if you hadn't pointed it out, you're a genius.

And i don't know the best place to take a test but i promise Ashford town center is most likely the wost, an evil town to drive i.m.o.

^^^ Touche ;)

to be honest, if your having to take your test elsewhere because you cant pass in your own home town then you shouldn't have a licence.

Because then when you go back home, ull be a fucking useless nice person causing hassle for others on the road.

This ^^

I'd be interested in seeing the full national statistics anyway.

It seems pretty obvious that someone that lives in a remote Scottish village, where the only other road user is a goat, is going to find it easier to pass there driving test, than someone living in the middle of London, a multi-cultural city where many of the car's on the roads are driven by people with Egyptian driving licenses.

I can see your point here. Its a bit of both, sometimes you can bet its down to the drivers just been tools or maybe even nervs in a very busy place, when i was learning in the dales it did feel 'easier' no real traffic, no hard junctions, nothing to really daunt you. Moved back to Bradford and started the driving again and for the first lesson it was way different than been in the dales. Junctions round abouts learning more lanes etc (all good things to know) oh and then the fucking moronic drivers cutting you up every second (excuse the language!)

I failed more times than i should but it was all down to my own mistakes and nerves at the time nothing to do with the city, well apart from a wheely bin blowing open onto me while i was parked and some dick of a chav running into the side of the car and rolling over the bonnet!

It is two different worlds driving around busy cities or quite country side, in fact you should be made to do your test in a busier area to learn.

My test whent fine tbh, I got a minor for leaving my window wipers on once the rain had stopped, bit petty imo. And some strange little women run out in the road and apart from nearly running her over I passed. Good time for me to test my emergency stop skills tbh

I was shitting myself doing my test, purley because of the amount of pressure I felt I had to pass first time.

(considering its all i wanted to do for the 17 years before hand lol)

I got 14 minors. One more and I would of failed, all silly things aswell.... Still passed first time though! 8-) lol

I was going to do mine in brighton but they shut the test centre before I even had a lesson so I did it in Burgess Hill. this wouldn't have been an issue, but my instructor refused to take me there he only let me drive round brighton and where i live. the reason being, if I can't drive somewhere I have never been before perfectly how will I ever drive well anywhere. he did take me there just before the test to drive about.
