86' Polo Coupe S with Zender Kit, Ronal Wheels etc..

Featured Replies

I'm new to the forum and have recently acquired an 86' Coupe S, i am now the 2nd owner from new (the first owner being an elderley lady) with only 77k on the clock.

The car was brought directly from volkswagen and had all the possible factory extras of the time fitted at the karmann factory :)

electric tilt and slide sunroof

electric windows

full Zender body kit

Ronal alloy wheels

"Sportier" suspension

etc..

everything is original, even down to the blaupunkt headunit, volkswagen breakdown cover sticker and original floormats in excellent condition

Bonus: doesnt need lots of work ;)

Yes I will be keeping it completely standard don't worry,

The little jobs will be keeping me busy for the time being I'm sure :-p

Adam.

( If anyone knows any more information on this I'd be very grateful )

welcome and what a very nice car you have indeeedy being old skool I'm very envious of your zender kit look after her/him

this is one of three mk2 polos in the past few days I heard about on this forum that are rare as hens teeth and pretty cool, there is this sporty one , the Formel E (already knew about that one) and the DiG40. all awesome.

Welcome to the forum. This is one car that I would love to see.

Get a build/project thread up. What little jobs do you have to do?

I think that would have been fitted by GTI Engineering or something as I don't think Electric roof and windows were ever a factory option.. I could be wrong though..

Oh and a review for you from Polo Driver :)http://www.polodriver.com/gtiengineeringpolotest.pdf

Thanks, Adam :)

Had a good chat with the previous owner at tatton park, apparently it was golf GTI money for one of these back in the day, but she said the polo fitted better in the garage. :)

I think these will only go up in value. In recent years the scene's fallen out of favour with this kind of styling but it'll come back one day. :)

Hello, welcome and congratulations on a lovely car :)

That super cool! Look after it! :)

Like quite a few people here, I saw this in the flesh at Tatton. Its in superb condition, needing nothing more than a clean under the bonnet, and a few bits here and there tending to. Nice to see one with a complete Zender kit as ones I have seen have been missing bits.

As has been said, take good care of this one, though I'm sure you will :-).

dear lord thats fantastic, I'm sure you will meet your death if this is anything other than standard! lol hope to see you at e38 i want to see it in the metal

i wish the car all the best!

Go on, bang a G in it. :)
