Has anyone claimed back Personal Payment Insurance yet...?

Just got a letter in from MBNA saying i got a cheque coming for

£1.520.08 after i claimed it back.Also got 2 claims out for bank

loans and another credit card aswell...happy days :-D :-D

I should soon be getting £1100 back from a personal loan :)

What is PPI and when would you be sold it without you knowing? Have seen the adverts but not sure if would be able to claim for anything back!

+1 from here too, had finance on a car a few years back and a personal loan too..how could you find out and is there an expiry date on old loans?

I doubt ud get anything from something so recent, as all this blew up a few years back now IIRC?

Banks stopped doing it soon as all the trouble started.

No, I've never been silly enough to take it out in the first place

I did get a £1k refund on my mortgage a few months back which Halifax said they were paying me as compensation because of some "misleading terms" in their T&Cs but I have never had PPI on it and never asked for any refund but it was good!

Wow, I wish I could have a cheque for a grand :(
