Got a little more done than i expected today, got the head stripped off to get sent off to be skimmed, polished and ported :) probably won't update the thread until i have a fair bit done / some thing interesting to post, but been persuaded to fully rebuild it.. so yeah.. think this is going to be a keeper!

Sounds sweet buy the looks of my mates one the engin sits quite far towards the front of the bay so plenty of room for a nice big turbo

Crank pulley was a pain to get off so took me and joerg the VR for a walk to garage down my street;

they couldn't even get it off, so used the leg off my engine crane as a breaker bar and that managed to crack it..

And lol, i do agree with Darrel. Like buying an R8 and running it silly low... or something similar.

All fine on a track.. but lets face it.. useless on a road. Could you use all the power from your 1.8t when it was as low as it was? realistically? On an average British road?

I can barely use 55bhp in my breadvan, and its not even that low :lol:

Undecided on the VR. I don't like them as engines... but the sound, immense.

Problem though... not running as low as before... you cant run that plate haha.

Haha ghetto i don't think the abuse was for saying some thing sensible, it's just at no point did i say my 'new project' was for the ibiza :)

My plans are 400 (now thinking more like 500) WHP, in something AWD (B5 A4 Quattro) Just to get that one straight to any one thinking it was going in the Ibiza

The 1.8T was fine in the ibiza to be honest, there was points which where a little sketchy and obviously couldn't use to 100% potential but then again LEGALLY when can you on a british road? I did have proper sized tyres on it and wasn't as low as it was on the banded steels.. people just get too hyped on the internet, fair play if they drove my car they could comment :)

But you will be decided when you have a play with a VR Turbo going to be intense, i have too many plans and can't be arsed to write them all down so just have to follow the thread!

Thanks dude, appreciate it :) i do care about the final outcome, it's just people always moan / cry about not being able to do things because they have no drive way / garage.. kinda proves them wrong really, everything i have done has been on the side of the road
