AFH Engine & Gearbox - Complete

Featured Replies

Hi,

For Sale I have an AFH Engine & gearbox and all ancillaries included in the sale. Only thing I am keeping is the Driveshafts and engine mounts.

The engine has convered Approximately* 103,000 miles. The clocks say 150,000 but the engine was changed by the previous owner.

BRAND NEW CLUTCH - Covered 100Miles (If that)

BRAND NEW HT LEADS - Covered 0 Miles

OIL CHANGE - Covered 500miles

NEW AIR FILTER - Covered 500miles

OIL FILTER - Covered 500 miles

This has been proven at 123bhp, it has a chipped ECU (no receipt) and had a decat exhaust.

The engine pulled very well and was a good runner, no smoke rattles or anything!

I am sure I have forgotten something but i will update the thread if i remember.

I had one problem: I pulled up outside a friends house and suddenly the engine cut out and it would not start again. I left the car in his garage and went back the next day to inspect the problem. I plugged into a VAG-COM and it came up with *Faulty Earth to injector 1-4*.

So basically there was no power going to any of the injectors, the car started first time when you poured petrol direct into the Throttle Body and would run for a few seconds fine and then cut out.

I swapped over the complete fuel rail and whole loom that goes with it (in-case a dodgy wire/connection) & Brand New Fuel Pump Relay. It still said the same problem. The injectors were actually damp at the end where petrol had slightly come through but obviously not enough to start the engine.

I have given up fixing it because I was planning on doing an engine conversion anyway so was just an excuse to do it sooner :)

I am 90% confident that it is NOT the engine at fault. I am pretty sure its something electrical like immobiliser or something. Hence why I have kept the price at the standard going price of these engines.

Location - High Wycombe

Price £200

Any questions drop me a PM or text 07506443445

Cheers

Harry

if you're willing to split it up a bit, how much for just the block+head, don't need any of the other bits really but might take the alternator :p
