its in the circle marked but its an internal hex or torq headed bolt, dont knowhow to get it apart as thats all that seems to be holding the bellhousing to the main part of the box

‒ → Remove both reverse shaft support bracket bolts (arrows).

‒ → Remove selector shaft with selector mechanism cover, to do this place selector shaft in neutral position. Then remove bolts -arrows- and pull selector shaft out of the gearbox housing.

‒ → Remove cover plate -A- and pivot pins -B- from underside of gearbox.

‒ → Remove pivot pins -A- on top side of gearbox and gearbox housing to clutch housing securing bolts -B- in area of differential.

‒ → Remove bolts -A-, from inside clutch housing for securing clutch housing to gearbox housing.

Note: Do not remove nuts -B- for output shaft bearing support.

‒ → Take-off gearbox housing, if necessary carefully lever up all round and alternating between sides on the protruding housing flange (arrows), being careful not to damage sealing surfaces.

again nige your a diamond......does anyone know if another box could be used?i have an esp box but loads of others on ebay with other codes, from later 1.4 tdis and audi a2s

The gearboxs listed for the polo with the AMF engine are either ESP or EXB but the AMF is also listed in the Lupo and that lists the same as the Polo plus EGB, HPA or JDZ, there might be some Skoda or Seat options?
