I had to cut my rear arch lining out as its double skinned, will be very hard with an arch roller i would think, just take your time or crack out a hammer :p

so if i cut it but keep it in will that still work? and yeh we started to use a hammer but wasn't really doing a lot haha, got any photos of what yours looks like? cheers for the help!

Get out a lead hammer (if you use a nail hammer youll be there for hours!!!)

gently work the lip back with hard but precise hits...then use the arch roller to smooth it out.

I've just managed to get 8j et0 flush with my arch lip. so its possible :)

err i go to some of the CL meets over in Thurmaston sometimes they are on a tuesday from about half 7ish but tbh there isn't many local meets (that i know of anyway) hahah

JUST TO KEEP THE THREAD ALIVE

I have a fair few updates to be putting on here and FINALLY got my photo bucket working!

ANYWAY

Since my last update I have got my front bumper back from the body shop, all smoothed and sprayed! I also have had my boot painted so thats all ready to go on, I'm currently looking for a new rear bumper to smooth as the one I have is pretty fucked and can't smooth it! I also have made some speaker rings for the front speakers so they will be in shortly and I have FINALLY made a start on sorting out this amp rack and making everything tidy!

I have also bought some LED number plate bulbs and some smoking film to do my front indicators and fogs, looking at getting LED fog bulbs too!

I have sprayed my interior grab handles satin black as well as my interior light! I lost a window winder ages ago and went to the scrappy to get another, but it was a light grey, so i have sprayed my window winders satin black too!

While I was doing this I managed to drop my interior light and smash it :(

So getting an LED one :D haha

10mm spacers have been ordered for the front wheels and now I'm just looking for locking wheel bolts to fit through them haha!!

Took the car to Dales place (The Spray Shop) to get a smart wax and had to take the roof rack off! poor car looked bald haha

Got some real nice beading though!

Managed to decide what I wanted to hang from my tow bar, thought Id do something a little different

Also had my other arch rolled so now the stance is pretty sweet and to top it all off I have fitted my GTI splitter!

And saw this on instagram so thought Id save it! hahahaha

Bought loads of cleaning stuff along the way too so she is being kept well

BIT OF BAD NEWS

I have somehow managed to RIP OUT my abs loom on the front passenger side of the PO so thats fucked! MOT ran out on the 4th too so need to get that fixed asap! or just run it though and get them to bump it :/

and my battery connecter is now held down by an elastic band! because it keeps coming off

OHH and It only failed its mot on a number plate bulb, (i hadn't put the LED ones in yet) and of course the ABS but thats all sorted now. just got some advisories hah

Some nice progress here dude ! Led fog lights look class there's a pic in my build thread with how mine look, I find you don't get as a wide beam though but if that doesn't bother you all cool, LED interior lights are so much better too ! Keep up the good work man !!

Cheers dude, yeh I'm not really bothered because I'm smoking my fogs, so i thought that if i get led bulbs they will shine through better, so i get style and practicality and its not often you get both hahaha
