Help! Thermostat bridge housing replacement

Featured Replies

Right,

So I have had the usual problem with it overheating due to the pin on the thermostat bridge housing snapping

So i have come to replace it. Not too hard whatsoever however WTF is with that pipe behind the block attached to it? I cant seem to seal it behind the block and it keeps pissing water all over the place when i try to fill it up. Does it come with an O ring?

I cannot seal it whatsoever and the pipe that connects to the bridge housing also leaks. I have spent hours on this now and am none the wiser

the Haynes manual is wank and this is making me want to bin the car! Not happy...... please help!
