Anyone, leaning towards a 6n just now... The closer it is to me the better :)

hey bud, I've got a 97 6n, 127k miles, 11 month mot, 5 month tax, and very little rust! its a 1.0 too.

only prob is I'm in portsmouth and also want £700! may be able to come to some deal on money but I'm a fair way away!

pm me if youre interested buddy

Nah sorry buddy won't be worth it, that's a good 900 mile round trip for me which is near enough £150-200 on fuel alone... And with a budget of around £500 for a car and fuel to collect....

Cheers anyway

Also Bump! Passed my test and now seriously looking :)

check out 'dublass' she has a polo coupe for sale, 1.0 red, taxed and mot'd, shes after 480 quid for it. were in manchester M20 1FY. the car is super economical so wont cost the earth to get back to scotland!

Problem is to get down, either in one of my dads cars which both only to like 20-23MPG or get a train which will cost about £125 anyway :)

you can try the coach, booked like a week in advance you can sometimes get them for under a tenner. might need to get a lift to a bigger city in scotland mind. no worries if not pal :) and congrats on the passing of yer test!

Hey, is there much wrong with the car or is it pretty much perfect?

after looking at insurance I can now afford a 1.3 because its actually cheaper than a 6n 1.0!!

So if you still have the car, if you could get me some more information about its bodywork and mechanical aspects :) Cheers

Also bump for anyone with a mk3 1.0 or 1.3 but no GT or G40 and selling for under £500 then let me know!

Mines still their, I'm fixing the handbrake cable an exhaust b4 it goes

Leaning towards a 1.3 since its only £200 more on insurance and it would do me longer than a 1.0 because no doubt I would get the urge for something more than a 1.0 after a few months... But for the right price I would go for it.

Still looking... Why are all the good mk3's further down in England :(

Now definitely looking for a 1.3 preferably within Scotland but I could stretch to 150 miles radius from KA18, Cumnock but then that means I will have less to spend on the car due to fuel costs for the trip :)

Let me know what you have!
