Evening, what i would like is someone who knows a bit about hydraulic clutches and stuff, just finished an engine swap on a ka, and it works ok, but, the clutch doesnt work anymore, even though it was fine beforehand, it been bled (we think), and no difference. :(

Just wondered if someone with some knowledge would be so kind as to come have a look at it and diagnose, because it needs to be working this saturday AM :/

How have you bled the clutch?

By pumping it, then pressing the pedal down, opening the nipple, then closing it again, then pumping again etc..

I'm led to believe this is right?

Is it the style with has the pipe fed into the bellhousing and the cylinder is directly in contact with the clutch. If so i know a lot should be chanfed when the clutch is changed. If its the old style which just pushes the clutch fork lever then how you bled it is fine. Have you checked the fluid level hasnt dropped too low in the reservoir?(it shares the same one as your brakes)

Have you tried to gravity bleed it? Might just work?

I think so dude, from the flywheel it goes, clutch plate - pressure plate - slave cylinder, its definatly in right, the pressure plate wont bolt down other wise

Weve had the gearbox off tonight, checked the slave, and that works fine on its own, but doesnt work from the pedal, but the feed is pushing fluid through

Not tried the gravity feed yet, it'll be a job for monday though, off to trax tomorrow
