Yeah, loads of people end up running them because mk3 rears are hell to find.

Mk2 coupe and bready ones fit too, but won't reach the rear wheelarch.

yeah they do got a coupe one on mine ;) but youll need to get the mounts if your use the shorter coupe ones or the side bits just sag. needs some drill action!

easy to do though.

I'm actually after a mk2 one for that exact reason of it not reaching the wheel arch! I think the mk2 loon one looks more classic. I've actually drawn inspiration from Gaz's Derby (i think it's his) Unless his is from a mk2 coupe 8-)

Ahh right, could i not make a supporting metal bracket to bolt into the same place as the 2 back ones? Just i'm not wanting to drill into the side panels. I haven't got a mk2 bumper to go off dimensionally you see

I've been thinking about this at the weekend, does the mk2 coupe bumpers go on a mk3 coupe ok?

Mk3's with mk2 bumpers.....could be interesting! Tbh if they didn't 'fit' technically i doubt the fixtures would be hard to change on the mk2 bumpers to match the mk3 ones? Thinking about it the only problem would be the fronts as it would just leave my intercooler and radiator showing cos of the mk2s having the metal slam panel or whatever :/

Hmmm, it's going to look weird either way, unless you weld in a front valance.

I have an mk2 breadvan bumper for sale as it happens

Sorry i meant rear bumpers, i know the fronts won't go on without a fair bit of modification.

Its just the rear I'm talking about, looking at both models at the weekend, the bodywork behind both bumpers looks very simular, and the mk2 bumper looks far better.

Front or rear?
