have a few plans,

coily's swapped

then wheels being my priority something polished

a new drivers door in dragon green seen a few on ebay. saves getting rust and paint sorted. might work out cheaper too. will then remove rub strips

may paint the rear badge green to match the car or black, but smoothed eventually

also want the plate recess smoothed on the 8v bumper

swapped my old boot for some new lights too

dude great ride looks rude on the starmags what offset and tyres have you got on them

  • Author

Thanks man

The wheels are actually mini fitment 4x101.6 but fit with wobble bolts.

The offset is ET6 and the tyre size is 175/50/13 Nankang AS1-vr

Bit lower and it will be spot on, how much did they set you back mate if you dont mind me asking?

Tbh mate they are pretty cheap, you buy them at £79 each or £125 with a tyre/fitting kit :) cost me £515 all in with a tub of wheel sealant.

check out http://www.midlandwheels.com

That is exactly what i thought and the ones i drove there to buy. says " 4x100 golf fitment.

when i got there they told me they was 4x101.6 but because they fit 4x100 with wobble bolts(supplied) they just listed them as that.

these wheels in 4x100 don't exist according to them.

a little lower now

had some 6n2 rears in the post yesterday, one cracked and one with no bulb holder. not as the seller described to me before i had paid.

not happy as hes now being a cock about it. saying its my fault for buying them.

:-D

Its difficult to pull off 13's on a mk4, you either have to run balloon tyres or raise it up, getting it low enough to look good is not for the faint hearted. But this is looking promising

cheers mate, tbh my uneven drive dont do the height justice, glad you like it :)

have loads of plans for it

have been thinking putting the original lights back on and getting clear indicators, not sure though lol

have a few bits on the body work i really want to get sorted there is a rust patch on the drivers door

really want to get the rub strips off going to replace the door first. the strip hides most the rust for now ;)

few other bits i wouldn't mind sorting too.

also cant decide weather to get my 16v bumpers painted up or to have the plate recess smoothed on the 8v front bumper

Are the Wobbly bolts included in the price then ? and also how safe are they ??

  • Author

wobble bolts come free when you buy the wheels :)

they are perfectly safe mate. just your average bolt really except it has a tapered washer attached

Gutted the pics are abit poor but i really like it

Is there any more space to go lower on the front possibly? or are you happy asis? :D

yeah i know i was a bit annoyed with the pics, all i can say is either my camera is rubbish at night or i had it on the wrong setting :( lol

tbh I'm happy with how it sits atm, id like it lower but its not really possible. one day i will own air lol

front is wound all the way down with the helpers in and rears have a few threads left.

my road is terrible i basically live on a farm and the farm vehicles have trashed it. il have to get some pictures (my dads standard height v5 golf scrapes down our road too.

really want a decat, anyone know of any for the 8v?
