Which clutches can be used on a ABD bottom end, mated to a GT box?

Featured Replies

Alright guys,

Have read through all the threads on which clutches fit but most of the theads are just full of shite and confusing.

The GT clutch is like any other 1.3 86c clutch right? 190mm...

Which clutches can be used from the 6n engines? Is is all the 1.4's that are suitable etc.

I'd like to use something a bit more uprated, maybe the 200mm items from the g40 and 1.4 16v engine, Do you need the associated flywheels? In which case starter motor aswell?

Any help would be great.

Cheers.

Based on info from Gaz, I got a 200mm plate from a 1.6 mk3 Golf. It fits the standard flywheel.

Take it all late mk2 and mk3 polo's use the same flywheel then?

There's a 1.4 16v 200mm clutch kit and a 1.4 8v 200mm i'm looking at, at the moment but wanted to know if they will be compatible with my mk3 flywheel and starter?

200mm std, organic lined or paddle clutches all compatible with the mk3 fly

from what i remember all mk2 /3 flys are same. as long as not heavily worn from a 190mm clutch you can use any mk3 golf abd, polo 200mm clutch!

Check out my lightened flys!
