Bice work, I look forward to seeing how it goes. However, with no weight over the front wheels, you oils suffer some cornering and handling issues

The engines sat just in front of the rear wheels, more middle than rear, ant the petrol tank and radiator will be up under the bonnet, so there's a bit more weight up at the front end. This type of thing is done to minis all the time and they seem to handle like go karts, so I can't seebthis being that much different

It would be wise to run some reinforcment up front to help with weight distribution and move the battery to a more forward position. The engine has to be a certain distance from you and it can only go so far forward due to the chain length as you really dont want to run a long chain as it will be a pig to drive. Id stick to the engine being forward of the rear "axle" by no more than a foot. Dont forget they lean forward quite a bit also.

I fancy an r1 hybrid under my bonnet but funds dont allow just yet :(

Aye yes I know. I will be having uprated roll bars and I'll have to fabricate a frame for the tank ant that for the front which will also be reinforcement. One of my Mayes knows a bit about space frames as he has a mk1 Capri that is space framed with a 5.7 V8 so he's helping with the design for rear engined set up. He knows his stuff which is a great help. Thanks for the advice though mate. Much appreciated :)

Thanks for moving this thread, I didn't know how to haha. Should be going down soon to start cleaning up the body work to start welding the frame in for the engine :)

This is going to be ridiculous
