3 into 5 door interior swap 6N2

Featured Replies

Hi,

Just bought a 5 door 6n2 polo tdi with 70,000 miles on it, the next day i bought an interior from a 6n2 gti 3 door model.

When i went to swap interior i found lots of differences and now not sure if they swap.

Would also like to swap passenger seat to drivers side as its in better condition if possible. Any info on this would be great :-)

not too sure on the passengers seat to drivers side. Think you may have to change the runners aswell matey for the passengers side runners.

But there isnt a difference with the interior from a 3 - 5dr, the only difference with the 3 and 5 dr models is the front doors, with th 3 dr model having longer doors than the 5 dr models.

Yeah i was hoping that i wouldn't have to change runners, also the new seats have a height adjustment as well, don't know if this matters?.

Nice to see another 6n2 tdi here "monkey man", yours is what i'd like mine to look like eventually

haven't really done anything to it matey, just a debadged grill and its on its tits! The grand total of £195 :) But got loads of bits and bobs in the basement ready to go on but looking for a new engine first ;)

But with the new height adjustment youve got, think you may need different runners/subframes for those seats, thats where your issue is I think.

Got the seats in, fitted the same as others but wasn't able to swap passenger side over due to mount points for seats belts. These mounts in front of runners don't seem to have any way of disconnecting without damage.
