Featured Replies

Started driving lessons today, but I can drive so I am able to safely drive on roads.

Planning on getting a Polo :-D but I cant find insurence cheap enough.

I have nobody willing to give me a NCB and I live just outside London.

What is the cheapest people have found and what companies.

Thanks

being 17, no wonder they dont let you have a NCB because you haven't been on the road in a car before...

my insurance for an 8v 1.4SE polo is £1300. but then, you live in london and i live in a small market town :-p

and oh yeah, if you are a student, the best place to go is Endsleigh Insurance - its especially for students. It comes up on confused.com too so go try that.

Endsleigh is rubbish for car insurance for new drivers, don't just assume that because they're aimed at students that they're the best to go for. I'm a student, I've got quotes from them for the last three times I've had to insure a car (twice on my old polo, once on the scirocco) and each time they've come out several hundred pounds more expensive than other companies. Give www.elephant.co.uk a shot, they've given me some very good quotes, and also try CIS (co-op insurance), I used them to insure the polo and they were pretty decent.

So does that mean you dont have a licence?

He'll have a provisional right now obviously..

Giorgio, ring round LOADS of places. You'll just have to choose the cheapest you get. NCBs, incase you didn't know, are what you collect over years of driving. You earn one for every year without a claim on the policy you hold.

Both Elephant and Admiral are running on the same website and its not working!!!!

Elephant is a sister company of Admiral ;) Elephant's slightly cheaper as it's web based so less overheads for them, they do still have people you can call once you've got your quote with them though. Keep trying the site, they're definately worth getting a quote from at least.

Quinn Direct!
