Hey, thought i would start one of these as since i've had this car, i have done quite alot to it.

so the lowdown, i baught this car on 20th July completely standard,

so the weekend after i ended up doing a complete service

then i baught a subwoofer, speakers and a headunit,

a nice dark grey interior

a set of 16v bumpers

and a set of 6n2 gti wheels.

so... from the beginning.

this is how i got it

then i fitted a mesh grill

then came the interior, which came from tech-ho, or someone like that

then came the In car entertainment.

this was dome by peeling the carpet off the parcel shelf, fixing the speakers with countersunk bolts and nuts and the re-gluing the fabric on.

and then the 16v bumpers, which are yet to be painted and fitted.

and last but not least, the wheels, very nice split rims with grey centres

and what I'm aiming for now..... thanks to some nice people with mega lows on their cars.

looks nice! same year as mine, but good luck gettng it that low mate thats very very low for a static car! your talking alot of notches and rewelded coilover mounts! not to mention no suspension travel! but at least you've got the right idea! :)

mind you, I'm not planning that low :-D that was just a mock up of what i would like to do :)

Just get a decent set of coilovers and drop it down to as much as the wheels will allow..

15's are a bit of a hassle to get the stance perfect on 6n's..

Bought coilies yesterday, well chuffed, hopefuly they will arrive before next saturday :)

and only got around to fitting them

But the look freeking ace!

the back has to be raised a little bit :)

also had to cut the old strut to get the top mount retaining nut off, fucking job and a half!

all good, fitted led's to the footwells of the car so when the doors are opened they come on :)

also the car is lopsided, got to come up on the rhs approx half an inch!

6n2 rear lights and dixie horn ordered

well been driving it around for a good while now, 6n2s went in afew months ago, added more stickers and glear indicators :)

bank let me down and refused theoverdraft last minute therefore still on my bbs's

still tough, got my manky sill sorted and my valver bumpes on :)

al the front vents were sprayed satin black so they wern't mismatched plastic coloured!

about £100 for both bumpers to be prepped and painted, did the smoothing myself, its realy easy to do, especialy with an orbital sander :)
