Well after driving the bready for a year (now for sale ) I spotted this little beauty on the net and knew I had to have it! Its a 1983 Formel E with an MPG meter, classy blue interior and a few other features. Came with a years tax and a years MOT with no advisories when it was tested in August! :) The paint is in great condition and polishes up a treat. Interiors also excelent and since the whole cars standard, it should be a good base to work from.

Yep, the car came with a promotional brochure for the formel e range and they also did a jetta and a classic model :)

Ahh I wish it was that perfect! Its got a few knocks and some surface rust creeping behind the number plate. Maybe next year i'll get it into the body shop and get it all sorted :)

Very nice, how are you getting on with the 4 speed formel-e gearbox? Take some getting used to don't they, but they are by far the best 4 speed box by a mile...

Certainly feels different from my 4 speed polo for driving around town but on the dual carriage way its lovely, far quieter too!

So long since my last update, nothing major but maybe someone will find it interesting

Been previously having running issues so swapped the Solex out for a Dellorto from Crazyquiffs.

After a tune + timing this sorted the problems but everytime I fix one, another seems to begin

Been contemplating swapping the 1.1 to a mk2 1.3 but really want to keep the engine original if I can.

Moving on, the dash trims are in, Wheels are painted, just need tyres.

Also been busy with some paint. The rear panel was looking really nasty with the bottom half covered in black stone chip so I thought I'd smarten her up a bit :)

Not perfect but better than before I think. She's going to need some welding soon however as the metal around the number plate lights is rotten :(

So as she stands now :)
