Its hench, turbo, reliable, cheapish to insure and not bad on fuel. Should enable me to get the jetta done right, as opposed to just on the road! Needs a bit of welding, could do with a bootlid but other than that its a straight car for 215,000 miles!

Took it for a hoon up to my mams, Needs more black i reckon. Gonna hopefully get the grill powdercoated next week some time, pressed plates next thursday, got my eye on a black leather interior on ebay as well. After that its try and sort the scabs down the doors and start thinking about a remap in a few months.

Won the full interior for £150! Picking it up on friday The doorcards are a bit grim but fuck it, its leather. Pressed plates are on there way. next on the list is tinted windurs and indicator lenses. Might get a K&N, prolly leave it till i service it next month. Gonna start looking for discs and pads after that, bit of corrosion on the rears.

Interiors mostly in, just doorcards left to do. Pressed plates are on, the whole cars feeling a lot nicer. Doorcards wont quite fit properly, but i just need the trims for behind the handle. Gonna do the rust bubbles this week, service the next and brakes after that. After that I'm saving for a remap, maybe an exhaust as the one thats on it is blowing just a bit. then ill look into some tints and a tec9, to show i mean business.

ATM, I've still got the standard doorcards in, as i simply cant be arsed changing all the centre console (switches, plugs everythings fucking different!) but essentially I've got some fairly smart carbon inspired stuff. Its not in the best condition though, the head units been robbed at some point and the surrounds got a gew gouges. I'm thinking the black stainless should make it look a bit more modern til i can be arsed taking it back to 1994 with the slightly different fake carbon.

Where can you tell the differance ? fuel performance ? just got a C250td sport for winter :), i hope your not abusing my old jetta too much

Just saps up most the turbo lag, normally i was having to plan overtakes a bit, but now itss piss easy. The powers there when you want it. slightly quicker off the line, 30+ it just flies. fuel economies about 4-5mpg better if youre driving it with economy in mind. But thats rare for me, i get giddy off hearing the 5 cylinder. ill admit theres a lot more white smoke than previously, but I'm fairly sure its because i was giving the motor a much easier time before it was done.

as for the jetta, since I've owned it, I've probably done all of 25 miles in it. Looking for a newman 268 for it, GTI rear beam disc conversion and some borbets. hoping to have it done by next summer but hookers and crack keep sapping all my money.

Got round to doing my discs and pads, seeing as the rears were down to the metal and making a pretty annoying sparking/squealing combo. Unfortunately, cause ECP are fucking shaft theyve provided me with rear pads for a 190E 2.5 Evolution, and no front discs yet. So instead i spent the evening perving on my mates 924, and passing spanners.
