When you say cheap as chips what are we talking?

I have a set in pretty decent condition, little bit of corrosion around the dish bit. They are not the mini G60 ones.

They do have tyres on them but I could get them removed for you if you wanted.

Would be looking £50 for them.

Heres a few pics....

Don't mind posting if you wanted to book it.

As cheap as like £20 is what I'm thinking mate, I can collect from Banbury

I'm sure that says 5J ? i may be intrested in them to if there 6 J thats if higgo doesnt want them

NO ALLOYS, NO TYRES!

just steels please, I'm interested in the above steels but only if they are 6j

That's clearly a 5j

That's clearly a 5j

They are 6j. It just has not been pressed correctly. Here is another picture showing the correct width with a ruler. They are 6" width from one side to another where the rubber mounts.

Still £50 not budging on that.

They came standard on a 6n2. I don't think any 6n2 comes with 5j steelies. I have got 5.5j on my current model and its the most basic model they produced.

Well that cool mate as I'm not prepared to pay you £50, thats more like eating at a restaurant than fish and chips

do they have to be vw steels?

Ok no problem mate

Jon, Vw fitment, I want to bolt them straight up no messing around! so yes

fair enough. some tigra steels wont be of any use then. you tried asking on dubclub oxford forum? i take it your down in oxford now?

  • Author

No I haven't asked on there fella, Whats the difference with the vauxhall, center bore? I dont have any tools down here which is a bummer, if you fancy helping me get them to fit then I could be up for taking them, if not ask around the oxford lot for me?

Cheers Fella

Edited by higgo

yeah the center bore might be a bit tight. I'm off work from thursday so if you want to pop over and try them, or i can measure them. steels tend to be less precise with their center bore sizing so they might be ok

  • Author

yeh i could pop over friday if your about.

let me check the wheels first to make sure they are deffo 6j. i will also see if they fit over my spare polo drum brakes, as this will give a good idea if they will fit or not

  • Author

cheers buddy, see if they clear vwII if you can

they should do, as the tig has the brakes which are a common upgrade used on the polos

bump

tried a set of astra steelies on my mk2, the centre bore is too small but only by about 0.5mm or something ridiculous, you could hammer them on, but doubt they'd come off in a hurry

someone must have a set of steels lying around, I have like 4 sets of 13" steels but they are no good to me!
