Why is it that just because my cars is slightly "modified"

Featured Replies

I was just casually drives down to a set of track lights to which they turned green when a cock head in a BMW 1 Series Hatchback just floored it in front of me for no reason to the next set of lights. I then pulled up next to him and glanced over with him laughing, I'm thinking wtf, does it looks like i want to race or something. He kept creeping forward till the lights went green and floored it, don't get me wrong it shifted but what a bellend.

Things like this just make me wish i had some sort of sleeper G40 :(

Anyone else get this?

It just one of the rules of the road.

Yeah, especially with Audi/BMW drivers. Don't rise to it, let them get on with it - I imagine they are mostly company hacks anyway.

Build that sleeper G40 though...

Meh, think i'll just keep eye open when i have money for an already converted 6n G40. :)

We have the same thing in the car my dad has now, its a Ford Cougar which is lowered and alloys, de-badged and ford badges replaced with cougar ones.. There's always a cock about showing off..

Good thing because its de-badged and the engine/exhaust is almost silent you never know its a 2.5L V6 until you're passing them and leaving them in dust..After they made an ass of themselves passing on the most stupid'est places :)

just had a woman do it to me whilst she was on the phone by purley tesco

i mostly laugh at them, had a van undercut me coming upto a roundabout because i "beat" him off the lights by which i mean he was too busy fucking about to realise they changed

usually I rise to and above the challenge if its a a regular old exec (2l or under) had an e46 323i once but anything over that and no chance.

Sleepers FTW.

I was following two cars today on a main road, the first in line turned off the road so I gave it some to see if I could get past the car ahead of me, a diesel Volvo but he wasn't having it, some black smoke and he was away.

No you didnt

if you saw the state of it, then you would realise i did.

It would have to have been fucked lets face it

It happens to me all the time because my cars slightly modified and I live in Gloucester which is full of Devvos in saxos etc. I have a 50bhp 1.0, I don't want to race anything haha.

Get this pretty much daily in Coventry, ever since I put the 18" OZs on the Golf... I guess it looks a bit boy racer to those unaware of what's under the bonnet but it's a bit irritating.. Usually the company audi barges that give me the most hassle.

Few days ago some lads in a Corsa 1.2 Twinport asked if I wanted a race

wanna race lad?

I race for pink slips

:smirk:

Dude if you can drive, I mean really drive, none of this straiht line stuff.....lets face it a 323 is nothing. If youve got good gear control, good line setup and youve got a set of balls on you then a 323 is childs play!

Give me some nice twisty B road, and providing I keep the turbo spooling nicely and my line work is good, I would confidentley say that a straigh line driver in a 323 wouldnt stand a chance!!!

Its all about speed through the corners and getting on the power early on exit! None of this from the lights shit!!

I will rise to it everyone in a while but only if i know the road I'm on well but if its blatantly a young lad trying to show off to his mates I let them just go regardless of car (they normally travel 3 up being egged on by there passengers) and be pricks on the country roads, but none of these novice drivers seem to understand what the consequences of driving like a pillock with a full car are.

everything boots past me, i regularly get overtaken and laughed at by pensioners too, which is nice

(895, dangerously slow)

In the stock-looking MK2, yes. Doubt anyone knows what it is, but it's clearly an 80s sporty hatch, driver clearly thinks it's special enough not to have scrapped it, but it's probably not very fast.

Result is some kinda point to prove about how boring 'prestige' turbo diesels of today are quicker or something.. Result is usually to let them get on with it. Sometimes though, i'll go catch them up, let them see i've done so, before turning off and leaving them wondering what it was.

But i don't want them behind me, they're usually the type to tailgate - combine that with a bit of adrenaline and something's gonna end up going wrong.

So when they're back there i'll let them pass. That puts me in control.

In the 6n valver, nothing. They just treat it like the average 1.2 handbag, which let's face it, is exactly what it looks like.

When mine decatted I had an e46 behind me... About 3ft from my bumper... I spat 3 big flames at him.. Looked back in the mirror and he was about 30-40ft from my bumper... I've put the cat back on now so I can't do that anymore.

Now its the closer I drive the slower I go, or if its clear for them to overtake I stick my hand out of the window and motion for them to overtake.. Like with that matiz the other day. What chance did he have anyway? Haha..

less of the audi beef

Best thing is to just let them be a prick, after all you'll be the one laughing when you see them wrapped round a lampost, or spinning on their roof :-)

Although i took on a idiot in a Range Rover in my MK3, and won. Tried to come past right where the road went from 2 lanes to one, so i booted it and squeezed him out

Nearly forgot about the funniest one. Was with a mate in his Bay camper, Saxo VTS tries, and fails, to out race us off a roundabout and onto the dual carriageway. He watches as a rusty VW camper passes him, then spits flames 8-)

I ALWAYS get pricks tailgating me. Its like my mk1 actually irritates people by being on the road  Had two arseholes in a focus yesterday doing it. Would love to know why they do it though

Used to get it all the time in the coupe, for some reason people dont seem to think a matt grey bready with a dent in the side is up to much, though it is fun to upset people sometimes

The worst was in my 205gti, but that was sporting a 2.2 conversion, cammed and on weber 40's so they didnt try for too long!

love driving a golf now, washer jets are much more powerful, had a guy tailgating the other day proper close so i held the washers on and soaked his car hahahahah. he was NOT happy!

I had some 40 yr old bloke in a yellow Ibiza cupra come up to me and try to race me, I informed him that I only raced for money and that the minimum bet was £200, at this point he asked to see under the bonnet... Guess he must've seen the 1.4 badge on the boot and thought he'd get lucky...
