1972 Hillman imp Super

ENGINE:

875cc L4 engine, recent headgasket change block is straight and true and the head has had 10thou skimmed from it

bottom end rebuilt around 1000miles ago.

NOS solex carb with K&N bike filter

Sports exhaust which is slightly tatty, couple of holes which have been fixed with fire gum

HE rad

Daihatsu Cuore alternator fitted

Waterpump changed 3000 miles ago, spins freely and smoothly no leaks.

Rebuilt gearbox fitted 5000 miles ago

Suspension and Steering:

AVO fully adjustable shockers all round, on montie springs

Polybushed all round

NOS steering rack fitted around 1500 miles ago

Fiesta track rod kit and Colin Valentine Fiesta front disc kit fitted 4000 miles ago.

WHEELS and TYRES:

Front: 6j ultralite wheels with yoko A-drive tyres

Rear: 7j ultralite wheelsl with yoko A539 tyres

Both have covered less than 200 miles since being fitted and have set be back over 500 pounds. fronts were new and have been resprayed black and the rears were stripped and restored to the same style.

INTERIOR:

Fiesta XRI front seats, look cool and are seriously comfortable. One slight patch of wear on the drivers door side bolster.

centrally mounted rev counter and LED lit dash.

Will come with all the wiring for a CD player and speakers however I will be keeping the other hardware such as he headunit itself, speakers and amp

BODYWORK and PAINT:

Paint is in need of attention, there is a key mark along the passenger side of the car which has been treated with kurust and protected with primer, however its beginning to show again. There are patches of red primer all around the car where I have done my level best to protect stone chips and door marks.

Fibreglass boot lit. With a bonnet pin on one side and a blanked hole on the other. I moved the bonnet release over to the drivers side as I felt it was easier to access.

When I bought the car it was ready for a front radiator to be fitted. The front airbox was removed and holes drilled the length of the car for interior tubing. I never finished it off as I got a good deal on an HE rad. the airbox was replaced with a plastic garden planter adapted to fit but you wouldnt know it for looking and it works really well.

Rear passenger side arch is beggining to show a crack in the filler. I have no idea what work has ben done previously, the inner arch feels totally solid and looks sound it may just be the signs of a little water getting behind the filler and pushing it out causing the crack, it could be a case of taking it off treating the metal and re profiling it.

Rest of the car is totally solid, its had a lot of welding in the past and there is no signs of any more rust, other than minor spots here and there.

This car has been with me for two or three years now and I have personally made it own, most of the work has been done by me. It has had many hours of my time spent on it and a lot of money over the years, it genuinely breaks my heart to sell it but its the money that I need the most at this time and its all tide up in this car. Anyone who knows me and this car will know how much work has gone into it. And its horrible to have to see it go.

I also have a lot of parts in my parents shed back down in derby if a buyer wants them too they are welcome to go and get them, this includes a blue interior spare windows glass and loads of other bits.
