Thinking of selling my car, not sure for certain just want to see if i get any interest and see what you would be prepared to pay for it. For the sake of the forum rules and judging by others for sale at the moment in similar conditions to mine, i'll say £1750. It is a manual 4 speed 1457cc in regatta blue. The paintwork isn't the best, the colour is a bit flat as to be expected with an old car, there is one dint on one rear door but I have bought a replacement door which was to be fitted when it got resprayed which I can throw in with the sale.

It is on coilovers, has uprated brakes on the front (mk3 polo with green stuff pads), a weber carb, had a new clutch fitted a year ago, new steering rack 6 months ago, new spark plugs, fuel filter and thermostat for radiator and had my timing belt done about 10,000 miles ago.

I have replaced the standard wing mirrors with chrome bullet ones, new chrome trim all round, chrome bumpers and will come on standard 13" Mk1 golf steels with rare original metal wheel trims. The tyres are practically brand new. I have sold the g60s since the pictures were taken.

It has a Mk2 golf interior in good condition and a cassette player.

Just had it MOT'd which cost me 600 quid including lower steering universal joint, 2 wheel bearings, cv gaitors, brake pipe, new brakes on the back and a hand brake cable. Was told at the time the car is very solid, won’t be needing any rust treatment or welding any time soon.

thanks guys! i'd regret seeing this go depending on what i got to replace it.. looking like i'm gonna stick with it a bit longer now though unless someone decides they want it!
