does anyone know anything about cctv wiring as i split a cable and need to know what colour goes where

it probably varies system to system mate, i dont think theres a standardised colour scheme

i got a bnc cctv and power cable off amazon and managed to pull the wires out of the lil adapter bit where it goes from 1 cable into 2.

I would just re-run the wire but its 30-50m and can't be bothered running it through again

from memory most are just 2 wires, the main one runs down the middle and the outer is just the earth.

you have a 50 50 chance of guessing right lol

this one because it carries power the colours are red, yellow and another colour, while the colours on the connector to the camera are white and black, and the ones to the power (which i don't need) are red and black

don't quote me on the exact colours i will check tomorrow

Don't know for sure on your particular system, but yellow is generally associated with composite video.
