mk2 jetta

Featured Replies

This was my trusty steed for a few years although its been parked up and neglected since the end of December, its been used as storage for junk, put up for sale and at one point I was gonna pull any thing worth any thing off it and weigh the rest in, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it in the end. Now I've finally found the love for it again and started to crack on with it

For some back ground on the jetta http://www.clubpolo.co.uk/forum/index.php?...=146789&hl=

Although there's a hell of a lot missed out from that thread, its now fired with 256mm 16v brakes, 3" straight through side exit, every thing wound up on the engine, loads of other shit I can't remember right now

So Today's updates...

It had no front seats and the rears were shit, so I've fitted the front and rears from a mk3 vr6, I've also fitted a polo GT steering wheel

The interior always looked shit on this with mismatched seats and gash golf steering wheel but i'm finally happy with how it looks inside 8-)

Still to come, a bit of smoothing, some body work repairs and respray (maybe oak green), tidy engine bay, wheel refurb, lots of maintaince ect. It's pretty much getting a full over haul

Here's how it currently looks from the outside

That maybe due to how shit and unlevel my garden is mate

Although it could of had smaller wheels on then, I was running 15's for a good while

8-)

You know i love this

Sick

Your plans will never happen, but they sound cool bro

seeing yours reminded me of one i saw ages ago so i looked for this thread for a good 15-20 mins on edition, my fave jetta ever, its a shame the wheels poke a little too much though

Jetta with wellers

i think yours needs different wheels and more ghetto-ness :)

Cant get no more ghetto then venom's bro.

Cant get no more ghetto then venom's bro.

they are too big to be ghetto, there is a difference between plain bad and ghetto

too big, on a polo maybe, not a Jetta. Any smaller and itd look daft IMO.

They are not venoms

Toby there's more chance of my plans for this coming about than there is you plans for your coupe ever coming in to fruition

Nowt like a bit of club polo encouragement  Fookin love Jettas, surprised I never saw any of your motors at the Cov meet when I used to go?!

looks very phat mate, really like it

Cheers mate 8-)

Az went there a few times mainly in this, I was at the mega meet they had in it but it was in it stock slammed on steels faze at the time

Did a bit today, its had a little dent on the corner of the rear quarter since I got it so after a failed attempt at knocking it out I cut it out and welded it up, also welded up the seem gap while I was there.

Still needs a little work but it was too dark to see what I was doing that that point so had to give up

aaaaah your tidying it up! i reckon you should at least go back to small bumpers if your going to respray it

also i spy a worthers original bag 8-)

Love these. It looks spot on with those wheels on. Proper 90's lol

Where is this bag? Looked other the pics about 4 times and have no idea what your on about mate

Cheers for the comments, but if I was going back to small bumpers I'd have to rock 13" rims

I'm looking at sticking with the 16's but getting some better tyres on them and seeing how low I can get it. Did some more tonight but a mate came round and we got pissed before I could take some pics.

13's, are you fucking kidding me?

Toby small bumpers = Nonce mobile status, nothing else will do

I wanna go big wheels but big lows with this

Awesome stuff babe.

What you coming to GTI in? mk2 i take it?

Yeah mk2 mate the jetta won't be done any time soon, although it won't be on the same scale as Toby's coupe. I'm doing all the free/cheap stuff like body work first as moneys getting tight with Xmas on the horizon. Aiming for having this done and on the road early next year and running both this and the coupe, good this about this is I can stick pretty much any thing in the tank and it'll run on it

in the last picture to the left next to the green box, and you could get 14's to suit small bumpers

Afh right, no idea mate the wind must of blown it there cause I don't eat them. Good spot tho

Thing is tho if I go with small wheels its gonna have to be almost undriveably low, and I've already got that base covered with the polo. I want this to be able to be driven almost normally so at least the misses won't mind going in one of my cars

I love this car, sounds fuckin sick!

Guy, what ever happened to the MK1 rocco?

And the chevette?

And ill ask in advance, whatever happened to that jetta?

  • Author

Toby...

The scirocco got sold on when I realised it was beyond saving

The chevette has had all the main work done and is tucked up in a nice dry lock up waiting till I have time to make it special

And the jetta is in a much better place than your coupe
