Lowered 40mm

16" alloy wheels

Clear lights, indicators and side repeaters

Eyebrow Spoiler

in theory u need to tell them everything.. Anything u haven't declared can invalidate the insurance in the event of an accident.

Try Brentacre Insurance (01792650933) They love modified cars. Declare everything to them and I ALMOST guarentee it will be cheaper than anywhere else.

even for a 17 year old student??

i'm 20 running a modified G with 3 years driving 2 no claims and one accident and i got it for £1050. I dont care what u say thats a feckin bargain.

Give them a try its only one phonecall. If u dont ask u dont get!

dun even try directline mate

i rang them today about some of the mods i am going to do to my car, but they told me u can't do any mods (eg. air filter, suspension, induction kit and exhaust) to my car, i was a little piss off by that :x

they said i will need to be 25 or over to do any mods!!!!! :x:disgust:

arent Brentacre limited to 19year olds+ ??

i know who I'm renewing with as i turn 19 on my renewal :)

ok i didnt no that.

I assumed they would insure any age.

Sorry mate

Yeh direct line r rip of merchants for sure!

Quinn Direct without a doubt !!!!!

I'm with them paying 1300 tpft. - cheapest ANYWHERE

they allow all body mods and alloys without a shift in premium..

i phoned and asked about coilovers earlier and he said all i need is an engineers report, it usually wont affect the premium, if it did it would be minimal :D

i just got my insurance policy a minute ago £394 with it lowered and alloys they didnt ask about indicators so i doubt that would invalidate my insurance would it?

Declare them anyway Polofresh. They won't charge you a penny

I'd question their quote?

personally i would only mention these mods 8-)

if you put white lights and mk5 rears on a mk4 can you just play stupid and say you thought they were standard when you go it?

Go on about how 16v have white lights etc..

i highly doubt your insurance would give a toss about lights.......

Personally I'd say everything down to clear side indicators and repeaters. When I told Tesco about my alloy wheels I mentioned my debadged grill, she said it wasn't a modification and it wouldn't affect anything. You've got to choose between an unlikely few ££s now and more likely a few hundred/thousand ££s if they decide your insurance is invalid in the event of a crash.

Things like the clear indicators and side reps they likely won't change the premium, eyebrow spoiler if you declare it they probably won't add anything but if you don't declare it it's an obvious modification in the event of a claim, and tints if they're obviously tinted definitely declare them.

Tell them it all, if they don't class it as a mod, they won't log it.

Most of my cars have a towbar, I always mentio it to them to cover my arse, they aways say it doesn't matter.
