Car is a 1998 6n

I need to remove the brake master cylinder out my engine bay. It is still attached to the brake pedal which is were i cannot find how to take it off?

There is 3 white plastic kind of gromit things and I have read that you need to drill these out to take it off, is this right?

surely you just undo the 2 bolts holding the m/c to the servo. the pedal should just be a push rod going into the servo/ M/C set up iirc.

Yeah I've undone that and it's taken off, I want the servo off as well.

The big black round part which is in the left of engine bay. I need the off the brake pedal because its still attached.

There was a few bolts next to steering column inside which I have undone and it's very loose and I can pull it in/out but it's still attached somehow :(

Held on by a white plastic clip? Theres probably a way to get it off, I didn't find it. Ripped the shit out of it and it broke. VW for a new one, 3 pounds or something.

Part number is on it; found on a Golf too. VW told me it came part of the pedal and I had to buy that too. Lies.

Okay so those 3 plastic clips/gromits in the brake pedal need to be taken out for it to come off?

I don't remember 3 man; just 1 big one thats like 25mm ish long; 15ish wide..

There was a hole in the middle which the servo arm ball clipped into.

So it was a big plastic clip behind the brake pedal but I had to drill it out :( so it has had it now!

Any one know the Part No for a new one?
