With the rauh-welt porsches he meets the owner first then designs the car around what he thinks of the person or something. All of it is hand crafted, a lot of work goes into them. There's a video on vimeo i think while he was building one in Thailand. Apparently they're meant to be coming over here too, but if it's true about him building the car around the owners personality then i don't know how it would work without him.
