Scene Tax

Featured Replies

Looks like the front's Classic red, and the doors back are Tornado.

Which would be about right, because I don't think you could get classic red on a G-reg.

Hacked in sunroof for added value!

Have 2x8p's and an 8n in the garage, and a 5speed fitted on my old coupe I'm breaking, may have to sell them all and buy that red mk2 that was for sale! :unibrow:

They're always up, he's put the zero in the wrong place.

That's a ploy they use when out of stock or something.

^^ Yeah, saves the cost/hassle of taking it down and re-listing, just smash the price up ten fold when you're out of stock.

Laugh if someone actually bought one for that price and asked if there in stock ...

they're in the for sale section on here too... £800 for a set of RM's that need a refurb and he's claiming they're "the ultimate VW scene wheel".

I've seen some sets of RMs go for £600, mint with tyres.

I tried to purchase one when it was at normal price then got refunded saying out of stock but on the listing there was more then 10 so he put the price up. So I asked him when he was getting them in stock he said dunno lol

I sold mine for 5ver.

The fact they came on preety much every mk2f .. lol

dont even think i could sell mine! rather just give them away! spose they are off a GT/G40 so 60 quid is a bargain...

You only have to check the for sale section to see scene tax in action G40 rare rear lights £50, within a few ads of euro rear lights £15, coupe rear lights £10, all being the late spec tinted versions, even the first G40s had standard non tinted rear lights!

are they really worth this kinda money? it is in very good condition, but thats new car money...

G40

Not that link again! Just had a topic closed in Polo Chat forum because of that advert..

G40

Two days of detaileing and they didn't even sort out the fade on the arch and sill kit or mend the wobbly passenger mirror.

Lmao who would even buy that

Cause it's concurs!

I'd love to see some of the abusive messages he's been getting. Its no good for much other than scrap, engines fucked, body is fucked, the running gear will be fucked and its not even a desirable model/spec. I've seen project mk1's in better condition /spec sell for less. The bloke is clearly off his rocker

I think the barn fell down around the piece of shit

Then again its a ford so id be expecting the shitloads of rust!!!

This isn't exactly exotic but they seem to have a bit of a following, for an Austin. Given the MGC is a rebodied version of the same car, and are relatively cheap, it's quite fair to putt out the scene-tax card for these predecessor cars.

This one seems a snip then at just twenty grand, got the odd scratch here and there of course, but nothing that won't polish out..

Recent full restoration it says. I think I'd ask for my money back

How is that repairable. Have you seen the position of the driver front wheel?

it may look very extensive, and i doubt new bits would be particularly cheap but there's no reason that couldn't be repaired to as new condition. the joys of a separate chassis car, where a monoque (sp) would need a reshell this would only be needing a new chassis (or this one repaired) and panel work
