I paid £100 with near new tyre on all 4 wheels in perfect condition

that's my mates car, he hit a lampost back at christmas they wanted £600 for the engine without gearbox and its on 125k we walked away with the key in hand still and told em f**k off :)

Oh and there was a passenger in the car, survived too!

its a silly price! the infamous G40 in mint condition with the wrong wheels on it was £5k, a rough GT isnt worth anything near that!

5k to 7k for a gt really holy crap mine must be worth at least 4k then and a mk1 must be around 11k at least

I think the main reason things like this are happening is because people who aren't actually into the vw scene, think that just because it has a vw badge on, it must be worth thousands.

the same thing is happening with all old stuff now, people are in the belief that because the vehicle has reached a certain age it must now be worth lots of cash, others try to price sentimental attachment
