what are you worried about? service it and don't pour hot water on the windscreen, mk2's and mk3's are the best handling cars in the snow IMO.

its not so much polo's mate, its light and FWD so there are plenty of non polo alternatives but the only experience I have of driving in snow is in the two polos I have owned but yeah some skinny tyres with plenty of tread on makes snow easier to tackle.

Every polo mk3 i have owned i have had no trouble in winter, they are great in snow. Just glaze over the cuntyness leon, we have realized they can not help it.

my mk2 was awesome ;) 6n2 not so much.

best car i had in the snow was a mondeo turbo diesel it went anywhere my loon was pants wouldnt go up any hills at all so i have no doubts ill be getting another mondeo td soon and the polo will be put away for the winter

I've got 4wd..i'm not scared.
