heys guys I've got a 6n2 and its got standared headlights....

i have no idea about HID kits .. can someone help with out with what i need and stuff??!?!

Well first of you need a H.I.D kit you get them of eBay form any from £20 to £45 you need to make you get the rigth bulbs for your car and fit them that's about it

These are sidelights.

Not dipped beam

The sidelights are 501/w5w/t10 they got many names lol

The dipped beam are the ones you want as hids.

6n2 have a h7 fitment.

Id recommend h7r as you are using them in reflectors.

right ok soo your sayin i shoudent replace my sidelights i should change my dipped beam.... but i want to replace my side lights soo i dnt dassel people when iam drving around....

only want the hids for sidelights soooo i can have them on during the day ..

buy some cheap LED w5w bulbs but make sure they have more than 4 or 5 LEDS in them.

could fail an MOT with them mind.

ummm, think you need to check what you have written, how are you going to hassle people with sidelights?

Theres no such thing as HID sidelights, sidelights are the little 5w bulbs in your picture (little dull ones), H7's are your dip beam (the ones that will dazzle everyone if you fit HID's to your lamp type), and H7r's dont really make much of a diffrence as its still near impossible to get a beam pattern.

LED sidelights wont dazzle anyone either, just changes the dull crappy 5w light to a slightly brighter more modern looking bluey white hue, but as said they could fail the mot if the tester is a bit anal and says there too blue (some will ignore it despite being a fail).

I'm all for people doing things themselves but you can cause yourself a serious injury or do costly damage to the car, with HID's your not playing with 12 volts, the ballast generates about 23kV's on firing and around 90V when running.

thanks for the advice but i just got confused that was all ... thats why i asked for help and i got it .....

dude i think i know iam an electrical engineer... i woudent connect the lights up with the batter connected .... durrr

TBH mate an 'electrical engineer' would have known that wasnt a dipped beam bulb, infact wouldnt need to ask any of these questions in the first place.

Just be humble and grateful to the advice and just heed a caring warning from a fellow dubber. We've all seen people who shouldnt be let anywhere near cars doing work on them and sometimes the outcomes are fatal. It wasnt a dig, more a concern so dont be ratty about it!
