Comments: Well this is one of the first project diary's I have done. Have had a few MK3's before but they have all been passed on to other people or been stripped and bits kept/sold etc. Hopefully this one will stay for a while yet anyway.

Her name is Lauren and I picked her up fairly local to me from good old eBay. Had my eye out for a 'loon for a while as it was the only shape i hadn't had before. There are many plans I have for her already but the main thing I need to do it keep it on the road so i can get back and fore to work/college/GF etc, etc. Been fed up of walking for the last few months and i needed something that was cheap to run, insure, play with. Since i know a fair amount about these little babies, got a fair amount of spare parts it fitted the bill perfectly.

Went to pick it up on Tuesday 4th October 2011 and the cash was given and once again i was behind the wheel of a polo. Its been a year or two since I have been and it felt like i had never gone.

General condition of Lauren is pretty good. There is a small area of rust on the rear corner below the light that will be sorted out in the next few weeks. Also both doors have rust along the bottom edge. Going to put two new doors on, possibly replace both front wings with a few cheeky mods at the same time and get the car a quick blow over too. Most of the work will be done by myself apart from the spraying as i'd rather pay for someone to do it properly.

Pictures say a thousand words so before i carry on talking her are some to keep your eyes busy.

As you can see she has only got 71k on the clock, she has full service history, nearly all the previous MOT's, folder full of old receipts and original plates stickers and book.

She will be staying standard (ish) for a while as i want to get the bodywork sorted first before modding too much. But I cant drive around in a car that is standard height. Monday I'm getting it into the workshop in college and chopping a few coils off. I also have some mk1 Golf steelies that have been sat out my back for a while. I might pop these on, see how it looks. Afterall they are only a set of wheels. I've bought another set of wheels too, but they will be revealed when they go on. I think they will suit it perfectly.

In the mean time.

Please leave comments. Good or bad I'm not too bothered. Abuse me......i'll abuse you. :D
