Alrite guys and girls, been on here a few years now some may know me some wont but might recongnise my previous car which was a 9n polo, i sold that and tried a few different things but nothing compared to owning a dub so after a little while of searching i came across a mk3 couple that was perfect, its a 1993 1.3 cl coupe with 70,000 on the clock and 1 previous owner from new with stacks of receipts and service history the body is really clean with just one 10p size bit of rust under the windsreen and a dent in the rear arch, other than that it just needs new roof gutter strips which I'm waiting to be delivered and a new rear bumper but the best part of all is i picked her up for £500.

Anyway heres a few pics of her so far from when i picked it up to how it is now, I've machine polished the whole car, painted all badges satin black and removed the bump strips, also got pressed plates and red pin stripe for bumpers but not fitted yet.

Nope just one spot of rust bottom corner of windscreen but will be getting this and the rear arch sorted before i do anything else, that sorta stuff really bugs me lol

Well not much been happening with the polo lately but made a few small changes such as rado front seats, red pin stripe on bumpers, also re-aligned front bumper and powder coated rocker cover,

Its also going into the bodyshop this weekend to sort the small problems out so soon as thats done i will be sorting suspension and wheels, also waiting for delivery of a 4-2-1 manifold and decat from phil j, anyway heres a couple of pics.

Paid £40 for the seats and they are sooo comfy just a little bit grubby, anyone got any tips for cleaning?

Bit of a slow update but finally got car back from bodyshop and the damage is all gone so i now have a mint base! Also picked myself up a perfect g40 interior for 100 notes, refurbed my wheels and started on the suspension today, just got to do the rears and waiting on delivery of 1 tyre then wheels and spacers will be on.

Heres some pics for the people who are a bit excited lol, looks so much better now but I'm a bit gutted about the front arch gap not really sure what to do about that, i could always raise the rear a notch but would rather bring the front down but not sure i have many options to do that,

I say, raise the rear until the front 'settles' then bring the rear back down to match :)

I'd be inclined to keep this car at a sensible height, because in general it just looks like quite a sensible car.

Few more pics, sits a bit nicer now took a couple of coils out the front springs so shes down around another 20mm, small arch gap but any more would be way too unpractical really, hope you like.

Thanks mate, just need to space those rears out 20mm, cant decide whether to go for some different wheels and sell these, nothing really takes my fancy plus the tyres on these are all recent at £70 a pop
