Think my driveshaft is going to need replacing soon, as before I got a chassis notch it took an absolut pounding off my chassis leg.

Basically, run round my local motor factors, all of them tell me they can get the n/s but not the o/s. And lone behold its the o/s I need.

I cant afford the £272 quoted by VW on an exchange basis, so was wondering If anyone knew if driveshafts from the other 6n2 model range would fit the 6n2 tdi?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Tdi model is the only one which has shafts which are unique to that model sadly, however it is the same as a lupo tdi shaft which might open up a few more avenues for you to explore... Beware though there are 2 different types depending on which type of inner cv joint it has fitted.

Is that relative to the year of production?
