Looking into getting a TDi a3 or golf on an 04 plate, what would you guys class as high mileage on one of these engines? i was looking at them with 100k on the clock. I know people always say they are just getting run in at this but is that really the case? i will look after the car no doubt however what do i need to look out for and how many miles do these cars actually do? i know age and who has owned it regular services etc all play a part but any help appreciated.

if its been regularly serviced and well maintained then 100k is pretty average
