Yo,

Due to owning a 6n, I'm gonna have issues with rust.

Also missing some paint under arches from scrubbage.

I want to take out all 4 liners, wash the arches down and paint them with something black....

Do i get black stone chip paint, or just underseal? or are they the same?

Just want to tidy it up and protect a bit tbh, will mask the lips of arches off and paint all under the arch, then refit liners...

Any useful advice or info? I know its not a difficult task, just after any experiences and stuff tbh?

theres overpaintable stonechip that drys hard

shutz /underseal usualy stay a bit soft

id go for the overpaintable then a coat of gloss black on top

Don't use underseal, it's notorious for allowing moisture underneath and more (hidden) rust. My own method is:

1. Key the inner arches and remove all traces of rust

2. Use a good zinc primer on bare areas - Bondaprimer is good

3. Apply Upol Gravitex with compressor and schutz gun

4. Apply body colour or flat black to gravitex

The bondaprimer is red, so if the gravitex is chipped away - I can see the red primer showing through (car's blue) which makes it a bit easier to see what needs patching up.
