Exterior Styling: Porsche Adriatic Blue

Interior Styling: Full Polo Coupe S Interior

ICE and Security: Pioneer head unit , Sony 6x9s , Pioneer 4x6 on the dash

Finally got around to giving the caddy a clean up and taking a few photos ....

got some good pics there mate both of the cars look mint, like the pic you got of me driving to. Cant believe how much attention your caddy got while we were driving about

*Stickers In the Rear window

*Covered some interior parts in some chequered vinyl

*Porsche Glove box catch

*Re-covered rear panel in black leather

*Lego dust caps

Don't get too happy with the stickers, you'll ruin it!

Good news , the caddy is up and running . After new coil,condenser,points,dizzy cap,rotor arm,fuel filter,swirl pot It turned out to be the main fuel input into the carb was blocked solid . So cleaned everything out and It fired up ! although It was running poorly It was nice to hear it going after 3 months . So the next job was to find out why it wouldn't tick over etc. , turns out it was the auto choke was at fault so changed all that , checked the timing and made a few adjustments to the carb and Its running sweet , took it for a good run out and did about 60miles and I'm very happy with it .

Got it valeted , fuelled up and all checked over so gonna run It for a while

Inspired by the pics below .....

I fitted the caddy with a roof rack today .....

If its staying I plan on making some adjustments to the height of It and also plan to re-spray (either red or black) Opinions please as I can't decided colours etc. ....

Also dug out some audio bits that I put in storage In 2003 !!!! Thinking of 2 x Subs behind the seats In-between the 6x9's already in place ......

Update 8/4

Well after getting the caddy up and running and using it for a few days I still wasn't happy with how it was running ! , so I was very close to selling up . Anyway a guy off thr forum a ving awy a 2e3 f.o.c (LEGEND ! Really appreciate it mate) , so I just had to cover the price of postage .it arrived on Thursday and to be fair it looked like it'd been fished out of a canal , not bad for free though.

I planned on just using it for spares but after checking it over I thought for the sake of 10mins I would chuck it on the car and see what happens. After fitting it started up first crack , the auto choke functioned properly and It drives sweet !! Did a 160mile round trip yesterday and it was perfect , couldn't fault it and it was awesome on fuel as well .

So now I got around to fitting my new steering wheel and my badge ...

So, what's the story behind this conversion? Did you build this yourself or have you acquired it from someone else? It looks like it's been done properly anyway, the breadvan rear window and B pillars is a nice touch. I am guessing it is based on a saloon due to its length?

I aquired it , someone else put the hard work in a guy called grindermods , originally it was a saloon . The fab work he did is excellent but the paintwork and interior needed work but I'm getting on top of that now , came to me just needing finishing

x2. Today mine decided to spit the hose out of the back so whenever I was off throttle the car would drop to like 200rpm for a bit then stall, or just sit at 200rpm sounding not very healthy.

It was the auto choke i always had issues with.

Now have a weber dmtl and didnt really have any bother with it. Invest in one. Well worth it

Running on bike carbs atm but finding them a ballache to set up lol
