I have an early Mk1 with a weedy 1.1 motor. I would like to fit an AFH engine in the car and maintain the FI etc rather than fitting bike carbs. This conversion has been done before, so it's not outside the realms of possibility.

I don't have the brain-power or skills to carry out this conversion. That's a lie, I probably do, but I just don't have the time.

Does anybody have a recommendation of who would be able to tackle a conversion like this? I have a pot of gold waiting for the right applicant.

Just looked on ebay and you can buy Mk4 16v's (The whole car) from £300 T&T, might have to consider it for fun if there are people on here willing to have a giggle fitting it. Would probably sell my shitbox GT and buy a nicer condition car first though.
